Aiden and Fabrizio Faniello among the quarterfinalists for Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2023

The quarterfinalists for Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2023 have been revealed.

The names of the 40 quarterfinalists for Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2023, and their song titles, have been revealed today by the Maltese broadcaster, and there are some familiar names among the line-up.

Eagle-eyed fans will recognise former Malta Eurovision Song Contest participants, as well as Eurovision and Junior Eurovision acts.

Aiden finished in second place behind Emma Muscat earlier this year with his Maltese banger “Ritmu”. Brooke and Klinsmann, Maxine Pace have also previously competed in previous editions.

Jessika represented San Marino at Eurovision 2018 (alongside Jenny B) with “Who We Are”, and Fabrizzio Faniello represented Malta in Eurovision 2001 and 2006.

Francesca Sciberras represented Malta in Junior Eurovision 2009 with Mikaela whilst Eliana Gomez Blanco was in Junior Eurovision 2019 with “We Are More”.

Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2023 will be comprised of six live shows: four quarter finals, one semi final and one grand final.

  • Quarter final 1 – January 13th
  • Quarter final 2 – January 20th
  • Quarter final 3 – January 27th
  • Quarter final 4 – February 3rd
  • Semi final – February 9th
  • Grand final – February 11th

Emma Muscat is the most recent winner of Malta Eurovision Song Contest. After initially winning this year with the ballad “Out Of Sight”, her official Eurovision entry was soon changed to the uptempo anthemic pop tune “I Am What I Am”. She finished in 16th place semi final 2 with 47 points.
