Malta's National Final format announced in addition to a full Semi-Final line up
Malta’s national broadcaster Public Broadcasting Services (PBS) has made an announcement in preparation for their upcoming national final ‘MESC 2024’. It has been revealed that 36 songs have been selected to compete against each other in the semi-finals, all of which will hope to advance to the Grand Final of MESC 2024, which is expected to be held early next year.
The upcoming autumn months promise to be exciting to say the least, because from Friday 27th October, 9 of the semi-finalist’s songs will be performed each week on Maltese television. This means that within a four week period, all 36 competing songs of MESC 2024 will have been presented to the public. The 36 semi-finalists who are in the running to represent Malta at the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 are;

- Lisa Gauci – “Breath”
- Oxygyn – “Cloudmaker”
- Mark Anthony Bartolo – “Condition Or Friction”
- Sopranique – “Empire”
- Marie Claire – “Fading”
- Moira Stafrace – “Feather Flight”
- Lyndsay Pace – “Fire Proof”
- Cosette Baldacchino – “Free Fall”
- Nathan – “Ghost”
- Mark Portelli – “Just Be”
- Ryan Hili – “Karma”
- Michaela Galea – “Let’s Talk About Love”

The artists above will have the opportunity to perform their songs in a live studio with hopes to sing their way to the MESC 2024 Grand Final. The voting will be made up of a professional jury & televote, who will be able to cast their votes weekly to select 12 songs which will advance to the MESC Grand Final.
The dates & times of the MESC 2024 Grand Final are still yet to be confirmed, however, based on when this year’s competition was held it is expected to be at the start of February 2024. As the excitement continues to build on the road to Malmö 2024, all will be revealed as to who will be flying the flag for Malta at the Eurovision Song Contest 2024.
