Zoë Më to Represent Switzerland at Eurovision 2025 in Basel

Born in Basel, Zoë Më moved to Germany with her family before returning to Switzerland in 2009, settling in Fribourg. She began writing her own songs at the age of 10, showcasing a deep connection to both German and French cultures. Her music blends poetic pop with ‘chanson’, reflecting her bilingual upbringing. She’s the second artists from the region in recent years after Gjon Tear’s which finished 3rd place in Rotterdam 2021.1

In 2024, Zoë Më’s talent was recognized with awards such as ‘SRF 3 Best Talent’ and ‘RTS Artiste Radar’. Her bilingual EP “Dorienne Gris” led to performances at prestigious festivals, including the Montreux Jazz Festival and Luzern Live.

A Homecoming Performance

Representing Switzerland in her birth city of Basel, Zoë Më expressed her excitement:

“Representing Switzerland at the ESC while we are hosting the contest is a huge honor and a surreal experience. I’m from Basel, and my grandparents live here. This is a full-circle moment, just like something out of a fairytale.”

Anticipation for the Eurovision Entry

Zoë Më’s song for Eurovision 2025 is scheduled for release on Monday, 10 March, on the official Eurovision Song Contest YouTube channel. Fans eagerly await the unveiling of the track that will represent the host nation on the international stage.

Switzerland’s Eurovision Legacy

Switzerland has a storied history in the Eurovision Song Contest, winning the inaugural competition in 1956 with Lys Assia’s “Refrain” and again in 1988 with Céline Dion’s “Ne partez pas sans moi”. The country achieved its third victory in 2024 with Nemo’s “The Code”, leading to Basel hosting the 2025 contest. 

With Zoë Më’s unique blend of cultural influences and musical talent, Switzerland hopes to continue its Eurovision success on home soil.
