Yağmur has been chosen to represent Azerbaijan at Eurovision 2025.

After confirming their return to Junior Eurovision this year just a few weeks ago, Azerbaijan have now confirmed their representative for the upcoming contest this December – Yağmur Nasrullayeva. She was selected via an internal selection organised by the broadcaster, and the song she will sing will also be selected internally. Yağmur is very excited to begin her Junior Eurovision journey:

I am very happy to represent Azerbaijan in Tbilisi. This will be an incredible experience for me.”

Azerbaijan’s internal selection for Junior Eurovision 2025 was a two-step selection process. The broadcaster received 60 applications for Junior Eurovision 2025, of which 15 were invited to the in-person audition round, where a six-member jury panel evaluated each performance, and awarded points to each participant. All six jurors put Yağmur in the top five, with three of these jurors putting Yağmur in first place. There were some familiar faces on the jury panel:

  • Siyavush Karimi – Azerbaijan’s People’s Artist & composer
  • Govhar Hasanzade – honoured artist of Azerbaijan & composer
  • Vuqar Jamalzade – honoured artist of Azerbaijan & composer
  • Samira Efendi – singer (Eurovision 2020 & 2021)
  • Yashar Bakhish – composer & arranger
  • Javid Imamverdiyev – Chief Director at Azerbaijan State Academic Musical Theatre

Who is Yağmur?

Yağmur was born on July 27th 2013. She has been practising music since she was 8 years old, and is currently in third grade at the Children’s Art School No. 5.
