Serbian girl group Hurricane sat down for an interview with Andy from Eurovoxx, following their rehearsal for their 2021 Eurovision entry “Loco Loco”. The group – comprised of members Sanja Vučić, Ivana Nikolić and Ksenija Knežević – shared their thoughts regarding the rehearsals and their intentions for the live performance, as well as the ways they pass the time while working on their entry.

The girls all acknowledge the high level of skill and commitment their stage performance requires. “It felt great but it’s very difficult”, Sanja said regarding their first rehearsal, “because we have a task that is really difficult, that is to sing and dance at the same time, because we don’t have any backup dancers”. Ksenija added: “It’s hard to sing live on those high heels and these costumes” – “And dancing like that”, mentioned Ivana. As for their feeling being on the Ahoy Arena stage, Ivana said: “It’s huge, especially because we’re alone. But we try to be like a real hurricane, just dance a lot, of course sing a lot”.

As part of their effort to keep up with the demands of their entry, Hurricane rehearse frequently even during their free time. “We’re rehearsing in our hotel, we’re doing our trainings together in our rooms”, Ksenija amusingly noted. “We don’t have a day off”. Sanja added that part of this routine includes going over the group’s choreography as well as doing stamina trainings and workouts.

We’re looking forward to see all this hard work paying off on Hurricane’s semi-final performance, and in the meantime we’d love to know what you think of “Loco Loco” in the comments below!
