Albania has selected Viola Gjyzeli to be their representative at the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest in Nice (France). Her song is called Bota Ime (English: My World).

Viola Gjyzeli has participated in the previous three editions of Junior Fest already. In her fourth participation, she was able to finally to win over the musical selection committee who was deciding the winner. Therefore, in contrast to Festivali i Këngës recently, Junior Fest still hasn’t implemented a televoting.
Junior Fest 2023
In order to represent her country at the 21st Junior Eurovision Song Contest, Gjyzeli had to compete and win against 15 other competitors in the preselection show Junior Fest 2023 which has been held in the Albanian capital Tirana.

The competing acts were:

Albania at Junior Eurovision
Debuting in 2012, Albania have participated eight times so far in the competition, peaking with a 5th place in 2015 with the song Dambaje by Mishela Rapo. Except for 2013, 2014 and 2020, Albania have continuously participating at the contest since their debut. Last year’s representative Kejtlin Gjata has achieved a 12th place finish with 94 points in Armenia. Her song was called Pakëz Diellj.
