After unveiling early this month the titles of six of her potential songs in the running to fly the Bulgarian flag at the Eurovision Song Contest this year, Victoria Georgieva has released today her second potential song, Imaginary Friend. The song is also the first to be released from her A Little Dramatic EP.
The song, written by Victoria together with Cornelia Wiebols and Irma Eriksson Wadström, underscores how unrequited love makes one feel, just in time for its release today at Valentine’s.
“Loving someone with all your heart does not always mean they will love you back. Sometimes the love is unrequited and you just have to move on with your life. The process of moving forward will be told by another song from the album. The stories of a little dramatic are well connected and I am sure when we present all the songs the pieces of the puzzle will come together.”
Since her other possible song Ugly Cry has already been released earlier, we only await four of her other songs—Growing Up is Getting Old, Dive into Unknown, Phantom Pain, and The Funeral Song, all included as well in her EP.
Victoria’s official entry to Eurovision will be determined on March 13 after all the six songs would be released and feedbacks from fans using a special online platform would be considered.
