Ulrikke has teamed up with Dancing With The Stars winners for a special music video for "Honestly"
After making it to the final of Melodi Grand Prix 2023 with her personal track “Honestly”, Ulrikke will now be releasing a special music video for the song, and has drafted in some Dancing With The Stars winners to help her portray the story of “Honestly” through dance.
“In 2020 so many fans asked for contemporary dance to “Attention”. After the final in Norway we were actually in contact with Michael Dameski (Winner of So You Think You Can Dance Australia and runner up in World of Dance) to make a dance video. Sadly Covid put an end to those plans.
However, now when we are back with “Honestly” we wanted to come full circle, and give the fans a dance performance video. And during the past few seasons of Norwegian Dancing With The Stars I’ve been mesmerized by Tarjei, Rikke and Cengiz. Rikke and Cengiz even won the last season which was an all stars season. So we just had to ask if they wanted to be part of this video project.”
A winning song
The newly crowned winner of Dancing With The Stars, Norwrgian dancer and actor, Cengiz Al, was more than happy to join Ulrikke in this special project: “I said yes to the project because I didn’t want to end my journey with dance already, and I wanted to continue to challenge myself. When I heard the song, and heard who would be the dancers, there was no way I could say no. Also, the song is such a winner.”
Ulrikke will perform “Honestly” in the grand final of Melodi Grand Prix 2023 on February 4th in Trondheim Spektrum. She will be joined by heat one qualifiers Alessandra Mele and Unami Tsunami, as well as the six qualifiers from heats two and three.
