The Fourth Act for Ireland's Eurosong 2022 has been released! Brooke will present her song 'That's Rich' at The Late Late Show Eurovision Special on Friday 4th February

This morning the fourth song for Ireland’s 2022 selection was released during the Ryan Tubridy Show [listen here].  An additional song will be premiering on the same radio show each day for the rest of the week.  The show airs between 10:00 and 11:00 CET

Brooke is a singer from Northern Ireland who competed in The Voice UK in 2020.  She was successful on the show and reached the final of the series, finishing in joint 3rd position.

Inspired by Blondie meets The Gossip, the fiery and empowering track narrates how you should never settle for anyone who doesn’t fulfil your needs. Brooke shares, “I was reading Debbie Harry’s autobiography and wanted to encapsulate the attitude she portrayed in her life.” Oozing with energy and sass, the songwriter demonstrates her impressive and powerful vocal range, which soars atop a throbbing beat and playful instrumentation.

This year Ireland will return to a national selection for the first time since 2015, and as with previous years the selection will take the form of a special Eurovision edition of the popular long running, live entertainment show —  ‘The Late Late Show‘.  For the first time ever, Ireland will use an international jury, along with a national jury and public vote.

Three song have already been revealed earlier this week:

Song 1: Rachel Goode — I’m Loving Me

Song 2: Brendan Murray — Real Love

Song 3: Janet Grogan — Ashes of Yesterday

Rachel Goode from Ballinasloe Co, Galway. Rachel was offered to sing her song after the Swedish songwriters went on Instagram to find an Irish singer.  They found Rachel, loved her voice and now she is set to perform in front of her biggest audience yet on Eurosong, February 4th.

Brendan Murray is no stranger to Eurovision having represented in Ireland in 2017 with his song ‘Dying to Try’.  Brendan has been busy since he last competed in Eurovision.  in 2018 he participated in The X Factor UK and reached the semi-final!

Janet Grogan studied popular music in Dublin, and subsequently earned her a scholarship to Germany’s prestigious Pop Music University in Mannheim, Germany.  This is not Janet’s first experience with Eurovision as she accompanied Nicky Byrne in 2016 and Ryan O’ Shaughnessy in 2018 as a backing vocalist. Janet was a contestant on The X-Factor in 2016, making it to Sharon Osbourne’s house for consideration for the finals.
