Tanja has revealed that she planned to sing another song at Eesti Laul 2021 instead of her now compeating song Best Night Ever

In recent interviews Tanja said that there was another song in the race to compete at Eesti Laul 2021 but she didn’t have a feeling to the other song just three days before the announcement. As the current situation in the world spreads so much negativity she decided that she wants to bring three minutes of pure joy onto the stage.

She is set to open the first semi final of Eesti Laul 2021 on the 18th of February

Tanja is no stranger to the Eurovision community as she already represented Estonia in 2014 when the Contest was held in Copenhagen, Denmark. She placed 12th in the first semi final.

Estonia in the Eurovision Song Contest

Estonia has made 25 appearances at the Eurovision Song Contest since making its debut in 1994.    Estonia intended to debut in the 1993 contest, however, they failed to make it to the final. In 2001 Tanel Padar, Dave Benton and 2XL won the contest with the song Everybody, which brought the contest to Tallinn in 2002. Estonia’s most notable entries include: Rändajad (2009), Goodbye to Yesterday (2015) and La Forza (2018). Uku Suviste won Estonia’s national selection Eesti Laul in 2020 and was supposed to represent the country in Rotterdam, before the contest was cancelled.
