Poland will chose their entry for Junior Eurovision 2023 on September 24th.
Poland will once again use Szansa na Sukces as their selection method for Junior Eurovision, with this years final expected to be held on Sunday, September 24th. Poland has used this show as their selection method for Junior Eurovision every year since 2019.
Dziennik Eurowizyjny report that the show will be comprised of three semi finals, on September 3rd 10th, and 17th, and one final on September 24th. The shows are expected to be broadcast live on TVP2.
Auditions for this years edition of Szansa na Sukces have already taken place back in May, and the acts who will be particiapting in the show have already been chosen by a jury panel.
At the present time, the themes and jury panel members for each semi final have not been revealed yet, but more news on this can be expected at the end of August.
Poland took part in the first two Junior Eurovision Song Contest’s in 2003 and 2004, but sadly didn’t set the scoreboard alight as they finished in 16th place and 18th place respectively with only three points.
They decided to take a break, and didn’t return to Junior Eurovision until 2016, when the fortunes turned around. Since their return, they won the 2018 and 2019 contests, and almost won a third time in 2021. They have hosted the 2019 and 2020 contests in Gliwice-Silesia and Warsaw respectively.
The most recent Szansa na Sukces winner, Laura Bączkiewicz, went on to represent Poland at Junior Eurovision 2022 in Armenia with “To The Moon”, where she finished in 10th place with 95 points.
