Luxembourg Song Contest 2026 brings new opportunities
For the 2026 edition of the Luxembourg Song Contest, there will be a new opportunity added to the contest – Team-up list. A team-up list is open to Luxembourgish artists who would like to connect with national and/or international songwriters. Likewise, national and/or international songwriters can also use this as an opportunity to get in touch with Luxmbourgish artists.
The contact details of registered artists will be shared with songwriters and vice versa, with contact between artists and songwriters being established directly between them. RTL will have no involvement at this stage. The Team-up list is also available to artists who already have a song, but who would like to connect with local and/or international songwriters.
The deadline for contact list registration is the 3rd August, 2025 at 00:00 CET. However, the deadline for any songs created via these collaborations is the 21st September, 2025.
The Luxembourg Song Contest 2026 will take place at its home at the Rockhal in Esch/Belval.
Luxembourg made their Eurovision debut at the very first contest in 1956, and participated every year up until 1993. During this time, they won the contest five times (1961, 1965, 1872, 1973, 1983), and achieved a further 15 top 10 finishes. In 1994, Luxembourg withdrew from the contest, and did not return until 2024.
Upon their return in 2024, Luxembourg achieved their best result since 1986, when Tali finished top 5 in semi final one and 13th place overall in the final with 117 points with the song “Fighter”. Laura Thorn started off a qualification streak for Luxembourg this year, and eventually finished in 22nd place in the final with “La poupée monte le son“.
