Portuguese Broadcaster RTP has today revealed the 20 songs and artists who will compete in the 55th edition of Festival Da Canção, the Portuguese national final for Eurovision 2021.
In a press conference held today, the hosts of the semi-final and final shows were also announced with Filomena Cautela & Vasco Palmeirim being chosen to host the Grand Final for a third consecutive time.
The 20 composers due to compete were revealed in December and they were tasked with choosing the artist to sing their song at the long running competition which has most often been the preferred method for Portugal to choose their Eurovision entry.
Semi final 1 will be held on 1st February 2021 and the following artists and songs will compete:
Nadine “Cheguei Aqui” (Anne Victorino d’Almeida)
Fábia Maia “Dia Lindo”
Sara Afonso “Contramão” (Filipe Melo)
Valéria “Na mais profunda saudade” (Hélder Moutinho)
Karetus, Romeu Bairos“Saudade”
Miguel Marôco “Girassol”
Mema “Claro como água” (Stereossauro)
The Black Mamba “Love is On My Side” (Tatanka)
Semi final 2 will be on 27th February 2021 and we will see the following songs and artists take part:
Carolina Deslandes “Por Um Triz”
Da Chick “I Got Music”
Joana Alegre “Joana do Mar”
Graciela “A vida sem acontecer” (João Vieira)
Neev “Dancing in the Stars”
EU.CLIDES “Volte-Face” (Pedro da Linha)
Pedro Gonçalves “Não vou ficar”
Ariana “Mundo Melhor” (Virgul)
Ana Tereza “Com Um Abraço” (Viviane)
The Grand Final will be held on 6th March 2021.
