Tonight, the fourth and final heat of Melodi Grand Prix 2022 took place live from H3 Arena in Fornebu, with all three hosts back on stage together. x became the final act to qualify for the final with her song “Made of Glass”.
Four acts participated in tonight’s show, with each act singing in one of two duels. The winner of each duel advanced to the Golden Duel, with the winner of that duel earning a place in the Melodi Grand Prix grand final.

Maria and Sofie were the winners of their respective duels, and went head to head in the golden duel, with Sofie emerging victorious.
Alongside the four acts competing in tonight’s heat, we also saw the final automatic qualifier performing. Duo Subwoolfer, who were forced to pull out of performing in heat 3 due to one member testing positive for COVID-19, they performed their song “Give That Wolf A Banana” tonight.
Now that the duels have come to an end, Melodi Grand Prix moves on to the second chance round, which will be split into two parts this year. On February 7th, all of the 12 acts that were eliminated in the heats will perform their songs again. Four acts will advance to the second part of the second chance round on February 12th, where one lucky act will advance to the final.
The grand final of Melodi Grand Prix on February 19th will see ten acts performing for the chance to become Norway’s Eurovision 2022 representaive. It has been confirmed that there will be an audience of 500 spectators for the final.
