Known by many as one of the main voices in the soundtracks of French-speaking cartoons, singer Claude Lombard passed away September 20, aged 76 years. The announcement was made through a statement on social media: “It is with immense sadness that we announce the death of Claude Lombard. Throughout her life, she has given voice to countless songs from city to city and from album to record, accompanying Charles Aznavour in countless countries. Claude illuminated the path of everyone she came across. She created vocations and, most importantly, helped people to become what they are today” can be read on her official Facebook account.
Eurosong winner Claude Lombard acquired the right to represent Belgium at the 1968 Eurovision Song Contes with the song “Quand tu reviendras”. In London, the entry was in 7th place. In 1973, the singer returned to the contest, joining the Nicole & Hugo choir.
