Simona Martorelli, head of the Italian delegation to the Eurovision Song Contest, was appointed President of the International Broadcasting Committee,

Below is the EBU press release:

On June 1, 2021, the members elected the new International Broadcasting Committee. The Committee, chaired by Simona Martorelli, directs the cooperation activities of the International Broadcasting Assembly (IBA) and sets the agenda for the annual Assembly. IBA brings together EBU members who broadcast internationally (TV, radio and online) to discuss and share strategic challenges, identify areas of mutual support, assistance and knowledge and strengthen synergies with other EBU activities. IBA provides a platform for international relations and for sales, marketing and distribution experts. The IBA was created in 2015 by a decision of the EBU General Assembly. International broadcasters – most of which are affiliates or departments of existing members – previously met under the auspices of the Bruges Group.

What’s your thoughts about this decision? Will she make a good job?
