Shiri Maimon has teamed up with Israeli singer Echo and Russian-Israeli singer-songwriter Ania Bukstein for the release of “Girls”. The song is available on Youtube and all major streaming platforms.
“Girls”, which has been produced by Yarden “Jordi” Peleg, talks about female empowerment, as they sing “All the girls get up… come on girls get up…” The song also celebrates women, because “if we do not celebrate ourselves, who will do it for us?”
Shiri Maimon is one of Israel’s most popular and well known singers. Her career began in 2003 when she finished in second place in the singing competition “Kokhav Nolad”. In 2005, she represented Israel at Eurovision with “HaSheket SheNish’ar”, finishing in 4th place.
Since her breakthrough in 2003, Shiri has gone on to release countless singles and many albums, many of which have proved very popular in Israel. Aside from singing, she has also dabbled in television presenting, has been a judge on X Factor and has performed on Broadway in “Chicago” as Rpxie Hart, among many other ventures.
