Susana Guerra aka Suzy, the Portuguese representative from 2014, is back to the music business with a rebranded image and a new name –Guera, and she has just released her first single, Higher.
Previously known as Suzy, the beloved singer to all the Eurovision family, performing throughout Europe in Eurovision parties and concerts, decided to take a new step in her career, and rebrand herself with a new name and new music style, a style she can relate too.
The first single of her future album it’s called Higher and according to her, she tries to create empathy with all the people that have had or are going through a transformation in their life, a new beginning, like the one she’s been through during her 20 year career. With this music, she wants to share a message of hope, and that you can surpass all the obstacles of life, and that it’s never to late to start over.
The song Higher was released on November 19, the feminine empowerment day, and was written by Daren Cartwright, produced by João Graça and vocal arrangement by Tania Tavares.
On the day of the release, she hosted the first Eurovision twitter space, a new chat created by the official Twitter page of the Eurovision Song Contest, where she talked with The black Mamba, and other persons connected to Eurovision, and also promoted her new work.
Suzy represented Portugal in 2014, in Copenhagen with the Song Quero Ser Tua, placing 11th in the semi–final. After that, she performed at various parties and concerts about Eurovision.
