Susana Guerra akaÂ Suzy,Â the Portuguese representative from 2014, is back to the musicÂ businessÂ with a rebranded image andÂ a newÂ name âGuera,Â and she has just released her first single,Â Higher.Â
Previously known as Suzy, the beloved singer to all theÂ EurovisionÂ family, performing throughout Europe in EurovisionÂ parties and concerts, decided to take a new step in her career, and rebrand herself with a new name and new music style, a style she can relate too.Â Â
The first single of her future album itâs called HigherÂ andÂ according to her,Â sheÂ tries to create empathyÂ with all the people that have had or are going throughÂ a transformation in their life, aÂ new beginning, like the one sheâs been through during her 20 year career.Â With this music, she wantsÂ toÂ shareÂ aÂ message of hope,Â andÂ that you canÂ surpassÂ all the obstacles of life,Â and that itâs never to late to start over.Â
The song Higher was released on November 19,Â the feminine empowerment day,Â and was written by Daren Cartwright, produced by JoÃ£oÂ GraÃ§aÂ andÂ vocal arrangement by Tania Tavares.Â
On the day of the release, she hosted the first Eurovision twitter space, a new chat created by the official Twitter page of the Eurovision Song Contest, where she talked withÂ TheÂ black Mamba, and other personsÂ connected to Eurovision, and also promoted her new work.Â
Suzy represented Portugal in 2014, inÂ Copenhagen with the SongÂ QueroÂ SerÂ Tua,Â placing 11thÂ in the semi–final. AfterÂ that,Â sheÂ performedÂ at various parties and concertsÂ aboutÂ Eurovision.Â Â
