At the end of a long and winding process, we can finally announce: Eden Alene will represent Israel in Rotterdam with . The song was declared the winner of Israel’s national selection at the end of a televised broadcast on KAN, hosted by Eurovision 2019 co-presenter Lucy Ayoub.
It was selected from a field of nine songs, first presented to voters in demo versions, which were later narrowed down to three finalists: “La La Love,” “Set Me Free” and “Ue La La.” These were recorded by Eden herself, who also shot music videos for all three, which were shown during tonight’s broadcast. The selection was made fully by public voting, without juries.

The broadcast also included an interview with Sieste Bakker, executive producer of Eurovision 2021, and Eurovision 2019 winner Duncan Laurence. During the broadcast, the songwriters of all three final entries, who were thus far left anonymous, were revealed for the first time.
