RTVE opens submissions window for Benidorm Fest 2025

The Spanish broadcaster has opened the submissions window for Benidorm Fest 2025.

The submissions window for the 2025 edition of Benidorm Fest opened on May 20th, and will remain open until 10:00 CET on October 10th, 2024. You can fill out the submissions form here. The broadcaster has outlined the rules and regulations for Beniform Fest 2025.

  • All artists must be at least 16 years old on May 1st, 2025. Any artists that are 16 or 17 years old must have permission from a parent or legal guardian.
  • All solo artists must be Spanish citizens or permanent residents of Spain.
  • If any groups of bands are applying, at least 50% of the members must be Spanish.
  • Each entry must have at least one songwriter who is a Spanish citizen or a permanent resident in Spain.
  • Songs must be in one of the official languages of Spain, but can contain up to 40% of its lyrics in any other language.
  • Songs must be between 2 minutes 30 seconds and 3 minutes.

Once the submissions deadline has closed, a jury panel will listen to all the entries and select 16 that will advance to the live shows. Benidorm Fest 2025 will see two semi finals, with eight acts competing in each one. Four acts from each semi final will advance to the final. The results will be decided by 50% international jury, 25% demoscopic jury and 25% public vote.

The broadcaster has confirmed that the for the first time ever in Benidorm Fest, the Spanish public will be able to vote via an app. RTVE have yet to reveal the dates for next years Benidorm Fest.

Electropop duo Nebulossa were crowned the winners of Benidorm Fest 2024 with “Zorra”. In the Eurovision 2024 final, they finished in 22nd place with 30 points.
