RTS will go ahead with the broadcast of the two semi finals for Eurovision 2023.
The Serbian broadcaster has confirmed that they will still be going ahead with their live broadcasts of semi final 1 and 2, despite the recent tragedies that have happened in Serbia in the past few days.
The broadcaster has informed viewers that soley, due to pre-signed contractual obligations with the EBU, RTS3 will be broadcasting the two semi finals live on Tuesday 9th and Thursday 11th May.
RTS have made the decision to move the semi final broadcasts to their third channel RTS3, which comes after the Serbian government announced days of mourning during the past weekend.
The Serbian delegation shares its grief with the victims of the Vladislav Ribnikar Elementary School in Belgrade, and in the surroundings of Mladenovac and Smederevo, as well as with all the citizens of Serbia.
Serbia’s representative in Eurovision 2023, Luke Black, will dedicate his performance to all the tragic victims.
