Remember Monday for the UK in Basel with ‘What The Hell Just Happened?’

The United Kingdom has officially announced that the country-pop trio Remember Monday will represent the nation at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 in Basel, Switzerland. They will perform their energetic track, ‘What The Hell Just Happened?’ 

About Remember Monday

Formed in Farnborough, Hampshire, Remember Monday consists of three talented members:

Lauren Byrne: Vocals

Holly-Anne Hull: Vocals

Charlotte Steele: Vocals

The trio met while studying together and bonded over their shared passion for music. They gained initial fame by sharing videos on TikTok, becoming viral sensations, and later appeared on The Voice UK in 2019, where they were coached by Jennifer Hudson. 

In 2023, the group decided to focus on their music careers full-time, releasing two EPs: Hysterical Women (2023) and Crazy Anyway (2024).

The Eurovision Entry: ‘What The Hell Just Happened?’

Their Eurovision song, ‘What The Hell Just Happened?’, is an upbeat pop track that chronicles the aftermath of a fun night out with friends. The song showcases the band’s humor, relatability, and signature harmonies, bringing energy, excitement, and drama to the Eurovision stage. 

Remember Monday’s selection is notable as they are the first girl band to represent the UK at Eurovision since Precious in 1999.  Their participation brings a fresh and contemporary sound to the competition, reflecting the UK’s diverse musical landscape.

Looking Ahead to Basel 2025

The Eurovision Song Contest 2025 will take place in Basel, Switzerland, with the Grand Final scheduled for May 17, 2025, and Semi-Finals on May 13 and May 15.  As a member of the “Big Five,” the United Kingdom automatically qualifies for the Grand Final. Fans are eagerly anticipating Remember Monday’s performance and are hopeful for a strong showing.
