On the 12th of March at 10AM on the morning show “Pytanie na Śniadanie” on TVP 2, it was announced that Rafał Brzozowski is going to represent Poland with the song The Ride, which was inspired by the 1980’s dance-pop. The song has been written by Swedish composers such as Thomas Karlsson, Clara Rubensson, Joakim Övrenius and Johann Mauritzson.
The artist started its career by competing in the first edition of The Voice of Poland in 2011, where he was a semi-finalist. He started being known in the Eurovision community in 2017, when he was a runner-up in the Polish national final “Krajowe Eliminacje”, which was won by Kasia Moś. In 2020 he was one of the hosts of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Warsaw. It was the only contest we have seen during the pandemic.
Rafał Brzozowski is going to perform in the first half of the second semi final on the 20th of May in Rotterdam. Last year, Poland were supposed to be represented by Alicja with the song Empires after winning Szansa na Sukces last year. However, the contest was cancelled.
