Portugal have seen their stock rise in Eurovision since recording their first victory in 2017 with Salvador Sobral and his song “Amar pelos dois“. Since then, Portugal have only missed the final once (2019). Last year MARO and her song “Saudade, saudade” reached 9th, Portugal’s only second top 10 finish at Eurovision since 1996.
