Portugese broadcaster Rádio e Televisão de Portugal (RTP) have released the 20 songs competing in Festival da Canção 2023.
The 20 acts competing are:
- April Ivy – “Modo Voo”
- Bandua – “Bandeiras”
- “Bárbara Tinoco – “Goodnight”
- BOLHA – “Sonhos de Liberdade”
- Churky – “Encruizilhada”
- Cláudia Pascoal – “Nasci Maria”
- DAPUNKSPORTIF – “World Needs Therapy”
- Edmundo Inácio – “A Festa”
- Esse Povo – “Sapatos de Cimento”
- INÊS APENAS – “Fim do Mundo”
- Ivandro – “Povo”
- Lara Li – “Funâmbula”
- Mimicat – “Ai Coração”
- MoYah – “Too Much Sauce”
- Neon Soho – “Endless World”
- SAL – “Viver”
- Teresinha Landerio – “Enquanto é tempo”
- The Happy Mess – “O Impossível”
- Voodoo Marmalade – “Tormento”
- You Can’t Win, Charlie Brown – “Contraste Mudo”

Many Eurovision fans will likely remember Cláudia Pascal, who represented Portugal at Eurovision 2018 in Lisbon.
Festival da Canção will have two semi finals, on February 25 and 4 March. 12 song in total will advance to the final on 11 March, were a 50/50 split of jury and televotes will decide who represents Portugal at Eurovision 2023 in Liverpool. Last year, MARO won Festival da Canção with her song “saudade, saudade“. She managed to earn Portugal their second consecutive qualification to the Eurovision final, finishing in 9th.
