Melodi Grand Prix 2022 runners up NorthKid have teamed up with Norwegian-British actor and DJ, Thomas Hayes (known professionally as HAYES), for their brand new song “Open Road”.
“We had a blast in the studio. Sure, hearts and heads were pounding, but to be honest, we really hit it off creatively, and working together was extremely fun and motivating. And this song feels like the perfect mix of our talents and skillsets.”
“Open Road” offers a different sound compared to their Melodi Grand Prix entry “Someone” as HAYES brings in the house beats, whilst keeping the old school boyband vibes.
“Open Road” is a song about letting go and living in the here and now. You and me in an old convertible under the midnight sun… we all love the idea of moving forward in our lives, after such a long time of enforced standstill. And a careless summer of roadtripping is top of the list.”
