One of SVT’s strict regulations in the pandemic is to not allow songwriters in the arena, according to one of the songwriters.

Andreas Stone Johansson, co-author of Nathalie Brydolf’s entry “Fingerprints” and Raylee’s song “Hero” in MGP, confirmed to the podcast Melfest Monday that the songwriters have to watch the show at home instead.

Unfortunately I wish I could be there… but I don’t think they [SVT] let anyone in actually. It is strict regulations“, he said in the podcast.

SVT has a lot of Covid-19 strategies when it comes to Melodifestivalen. In the arena, the people are equipped with distance larms, that vibrates and makes a sound when you come to close to another person. Everyone also needs to wear masks, keep distance from each other and be in specific zones and bubbles in the arena to avoid spread of infection.

The first semi final is set to take place this Saturday, where 2 acts will qualify for the final and 2 will go to Andra Chansen (Second Chance).
