The singers and songs that will be taking part in Etapa Națională have been revealed.
The Moldovan broadcaster has revealed the names of the 33 acts, and their songs, that will be competing in the country’s national final for Eurovision 2023, Etapa Națională.
A total of 60 songs were submitted to the broadcaster, which were then whittled down to 33. These 33 songs will be performed during the live auditions taking place on January 28th, starting at 14:00 EET. The auditions will be broadcast on Moldova 2.

Your Face Sounds Familiar
Among the line-up are former national final and Eurovision participants, most notably Sunstroke Project, Pasha Parfeny and Aliona Moon.
Sunstroke Project represented Moldova at Eurovision 2010 (with Olia Tira), finishing in 22nd place in the final. They returned again in 2017 with “Hey Mamma”, achieving Moldova’s highest placing, finishing third. This year they return as a duo after Anton Ragoza left the group.
Pasha Parfeny represented Moldova in Eurovision 2012 with “”Lăutar”, finishing in 11th place in the final with 81 points. The following year, one of Pasha’s backing dancers, Aliona Moon, went on to become Moldova’s Eurovision representative, with Pasha joining her on stage playing the piano. She made the final and finished in 11th place with 71 points.
Sasha Bognibov has previously participated in Moldova’s Eurovision national finals in the past.
Zdob și Zdub are the most recent winners of Moldova’s Eurovision national final, winning the 2022 edition with “Trenulețul”. In their third Eurovision participation, they went on to achieve Moldova’s best Eurovision result, finishing in 7th place with 253 points.
Prior to this, Moldova has one of the best qualification records in Eurovision. Out of 14 participations in the semi final, they have qualified on 10 occassions.
