Mia Negovetić and ToMa among returning atists to Dora 2022

Croatian broadcaster HRT have today revealed the names of the 14 acts who will be competing in the 2022 edition of Dora, and there are some familiar faces in the line-up!

Alongside the reveal of the 14 acts, we also have the names of the four reserve acts and their songs that will be used in case any of the 14 acts cannot participate in Dora 2022, either through withdrawal or disqualification.

  • Karlo Vudrić – “3am”
  • Vlatka Burić Dujmović Vyan – “Gladiator”
  • Totalni Optimizam – “What If”
  • Stella Scholaja – “Ghost”

A total of 184 songs were submitted to HRT for the 2022 edition of Dora, the highest number of submissions since Dora returned in 2019. A jury panel made up of music professionals and HRT members shortlisted all the submissions to just 14.

Your face looks familiar...

Among the 14 acts competing in Dora 2022, a total of eight acts have previously partcipated in the show, with four of them having participated earlier this year in the 2021 edition.

Bernada, Eric Vidović, ToMa and Mia Negovetić all participated in Dora 2021, with the latter making her third appearance in a row. Will it be third time lucky for Mia?

Elis Lovrić and Zdenka Kovačiček have both competed in Dora 2020, finishing in 6th place and 10th place respectively. Tina Vukov has previously attemped to represent Croatia in Eurovision 2006 and 2007, and even took part in Dora – Let’s Go To Eurovision” in 2011.

Next years edition of Dora will take place in February. The winer will be decided by 50% jury vote and 50% televote. The winning song is unlikely to undergo a major revamp, as only minor modifications will be allowed with permission from HRT. 

The 2021 edition of Dora saw Abina emerge victorious with her catchy pop song “Tick Tock”. After an impressive performance in the first semi final, she ultimatley missed out on a spot in the grand final. Despite finishing in 9th place with televoters and 10th place with jurys, her overall position was 11th place, and she missed out on the top 10 by just 5 points.
