Megara wins tonight's Una Voce per San Marino and will go onto represent San Marino in Malmö this May

San Marino’s national final Una Voce per San Marino final took place this evening with 17 participants all hoping for victory and the chance to represent San Marino at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest. However, there could only be one winner and this was Megara with their song “11:11”

The participants performed in the following running order:

  1. Pago – “Il protagonista” (The protagonist)
  2. Daudia – “With You”
  3. Xgiove – “Nostalgia”
  4. Aimie Atkinson – “A Dare For Love”
  5. Dez – “Freedom”
  6. Marcella Bella – “Chi siamo davvero” (Who we really are)
  7. Aaron Sibley – “Human”
  8. Wlady, Corona, IceMc, Dj Jad – “Questa volta” (This time)
  9. Loredana Bertè – “Pazza” (Crazy)
  10. Kida – “Invincibile” (Invincible)
  11. BOOOM! – “Dance Like This”
  12. Jalisse – “Il paradiso è qui” (Paradise is here)
  13. Mate – “Big Mama”
  14. Masala and Foresta – “Paranoia”
  15. La Rua – “Governo del cuore” (Government of the heart)
  16. Dana Gillespie – “The Last Polar Bear”
  17. MEGARA – “11:11”

Tonight’s winner was decided via a jury vote, with an invited panel scoring each of the songs and ultimately choosing which one got to represent San Marino at the Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö in May this evening. The winner of tonight’s national final, Megara participated previously in last year’s edition of Benidorm Fest with their song “Arcadia”.

At last year’s Eurovision Song Contest in Liverpool, San Marino was represented by Piqued Jacks with their song “Like an Animal”. San Marino sadly finished with nul points in the second semi-final and therefore did not advance to the Grand final. Megara will be hoping to build on San Marino’s result at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest this May in Malmö.
