August 4, 2021

Måneskin will release a new revised version of their hit single “I Wanna Be Your Slave” with the legendary rockstar Iggy Pop. The collaboration will be released this Friday, August 6th at 12 AM CEST.

The great tease

The announcement on the official Måneskin Instagram today might not come as a surprise to you. Earlier this week, on August 2nd, the band teased us with footage of what seemed to be a videocall with the American rocker Iggy Pop.

Now, 2 days later, we can’t help to get even more excited about the collaboration.

Where do we know Iggy Pop from?

If the name Iggy Pop does not automatically ring a bell, here are some things you might know him from:

Iggy Pop is one of the world’s biggest rock stars. He became known as one of the founders of the band called “The Stooges” in 1967. His most well known songs are “Lust For Live” and “The Passenger”, which he released in 1977.

Today the singer has sold over 70 million records worldwide and has toured all over the world, with the biggest names, for example David Bowie. Now Måneskin will join the list of Iggy’s collaborations.

New music video

Ever since their permanent place on top of the charts, fans have been waiting for “I Wanna Be Your Slave” to be officially released as a single. Luckily for us, the band released the music video for their hit single on July 15th. But they still are not done with the song, as now, Iggy Pop will join the band on the new version of their top of the charts single.
