Aidan Cassar has officially released his MESC 2023 entry 'Reġina' and announces debut album.
Maltese singer songwriter and three times MESC participant, Aidan, has released his latest song, ‘Reġina’ on Spotify, Apple Music and Tidal, along with an official live performance music video, which can be found on YouTube.
Alongside the release of ‘Reġina’, Aidan has also announced, (on Maltese radio station 89.7 Bay), that his debut album, ‘This Is Aidan’ will be released in March 2023.
‘Reġina’ has been written by Aiden himself, and produced by North Macedonian producer Boban “NaBBoo” Apostolov.
Aidan participated in MESC in 2018 with his self penned track ‘Dai Laga’, finishing in 4th place. He returned in 2022 with his pop hit “Ritmu” which finished in second place behind Emma Muscat. In 2023, he originally participated in MESC with ‘Reġina’ before being disqualified for breaching the rules.
Despite his disqualification, Aidan was invited to perform as part of the interval act in the MESC 2023 final, alongside reigning champion Emma Muscat, where he performed two songs, one of which being his 2022 hit ‘Ritmu’.
