Maiú Levi will represent Ireland at Junior Eurovision 2021

Maiú Levi Lawlor has won Junior Eurovision Éire 2021 and thus will represent Ireland at this years Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Paris. The show, hosted by Louise Cantillon, was broadcast from the RTÉ studios in Dublin.

The final result was decided by an in-studio jury panel, made up of radio presenter Niamh Ní Chróinín and singer and guitarist Fiachna Ó Braonáin. Niamh and Fiachna were joined by guest judge Linda Martin, who won Eurovision for Ireland in 1992.

A total of three acts took part in the final, singing two songs each; one song which they had performed previously in the show, and one Irish Eurovision song. The jury members chose two acts to advance to the sing off.

  • Maiú Levi Lawlor – “Hold Back The River” and “Only Love Survives”
  • Lilyella Buckley – “Someone You Loved” and “Rock ‘n’ Roll Kids”
  • Sophie Lennon – “Circle of Life” and “It’s For You”

Maiú Levi Lawlor and Lilyella Buckley advanced to the sing off, with Maiú being crowned the winner with “Grace”. Lilyella sang “Lost Without You”. Maiú’s Junior Eurovision entry is due to be revealed in the coming weeks.
