Norway’s Eurovision 2019 representatives, KEiiNO have released their Melodi Grand Prix 2021 entry, “Monuments”. KEiiNO are one of six pre-qualified acts for the Melodi Grand Prix final and will perform their song live at the first semi final on Saturday 16th January.

KEiiNO have stayed true to their style with Monuments. It’s a very catchy ethnic pop tune, complete with joiking. The song has been written by the band members themselves, Tom Hugo, Fred Buljo and Alexandra Rotan, alongside Alexander Nyborg Olsson and Rüdiger Schramm.

KEiiNO won Melodi Grand Prix 2019 with “Spirit In The Sky” and went on to represent Norway in Tel Aviv. They were the televote winners, and finished in sixth place overall. Since Eurovision, they have released a handful of new songs and have gained in popularity.

Alongside KEiiNO’s release, the second of six pre-qualified acts to the final, TIX, has also released their entry for Melodi Grand Prix 2021, “Ut av mørket”. TIX, real name Andreas Haukeland has gained a lot of popularity and success in Norway since the release of his debut album in 2016. He has released a handful of hit singles since then, most recently “Skål” in 2020.
