Eurovision 2020 representative for Finland, Aksel Kankaanranta, is back to Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu (UMK) with his song “Hurt”.
Aksel is a Finnish singer from Turku. He began his career in 2017 when he was runner-up on The Voice Finland. Since his participation on The Voice, he lent his voice to Pyhimys’ hit song, “Jättiläinen” in 2018. In 2020, he was the winner of Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu with “Looking Back”. After his participation, he signed a record deal with Etenee Records.
