Who is Lissandro?
Lissandro is 13 years old and hails from Moselle, a small village in the East of France, where he lives with his pet Rabbit Calinou and Pug Roxy.
Lissandro made the final of the seventh season of The Voice Kids France, (alongside French Junior Eurovision 2021 representative Enzo), and can sing in 5 languages. Aside from singing, Lissandro is a professional cartoon dubber and in the future, he would like to become a speech therapist.
How did he get selected?
Lissandro was internally selected by the French broadcaster to represent the country at Junior Eurovision 2022, along with his entry “Oh Maman”.

“Oh Maman” is a very upbeat pop song with elements of rock ‘n’ roll, which comes as no surprise as Lissandro is a fan of the likes of Elvis Presley, the American Crooners and Bruno Mars, to name a few.
“Oh Maman” has been written by Eurovision 2021 runner-up, Barbara Pravi along with Frederic Château, who also composed the song. The song talks about never giving up, and beliving in yourself, no matter what happens, and no matter what other people may think.

France at Junior Eurovision
France debuted in Junior Eurovision in 2004 with Thomas Pontier singing “Si On Voulait Bien”. He finished in 6th place with 78 points, and was awarded points from every other participating country.
Despite a good debut, France decided not to return to Junior Eurovision in 2005. Instead, they waited 14 years, before returning in 2018. Angelina, winner of The Voice Kids France season 4, was internally chosen to represent the country in Minsk. She took “J’amais Sans Toi” to second place, finishing just 12 points behind winners Poland.
France’s success continued in 2019 when Carla finished in 4th place with “Bim Bam Toi”. 2020 saw France’s first Junior Eurovision win, when Valentina emerged victorious with “J’Imagine”.
Paris played hosted to the 2021 contest, which saw Enzo top the jury vote and finish in 3rd place overall with “Tic Tac”. Former French Junior Eurovision representative Carla was one of the co-hosts of the show (alongside Élodie Gossuin and Olivier Minne).
