Laura has the honour of representing Poland in Yerevan with her uplifting and upbeat song 'To The Moon'. Here is all the information you need on Laura and her entry!
Who is Laura?
Laura Bączkiewicz is an 11 year old singer from Poland. Despite her young age, she has a lot of experience, both in singing, as well as voice acting. She participated in The Voice Kids, where she reached the Final. The Polish audience might also know her as the voice of many movie, television and cartoon characters, including Young Kate Bishop in Hawkeye or Emily in Clifford. She also dubbed the main character in the Polish version of the animated series Vampirina, in which she sang most of the songs.
How did she get selected?
Polish national broadcaster TVP once again chose its representative using the Szansa Na Sukces format. The talent show was first used as a selection method in 2019. Laura advanced to the final thanks to a wild card – a first one in the history of the format.
In the first round of the final, four participants sang covers of the songs from their semi finals. Then the jury and televoters chose their top 2 – Laura Bączkiewicz and Aleksander Maląg, who performed original songs composed for Junior Eurovision in the Superfinal. Laura won both the jury voting as well as televoting, becoming Polish representative in the Junior Eurovision 2022.

To The Moon is an upbeat song, that talks about reaching your dreams and gaining confidence in doing what you love, even though other people don’t believe in you. In this uplifting dance anthem, Laura encourages the audience to find power to dream big within ourselves, not in the approval of others.

Poland at Junior Eurovision
Poland participated in the first two editions of Junior Eurovision in 2003 and 2004 – both times placing last. After leaving the contest for 12 years, Poland returned to JESC in 2016 and since then have been very succesful, becoming the first country to win the contest two times in a row – thanks to Roksana Węgiel with Anyone I Want To Be in 2018 and Viki Gabor with Superhero in 2019.
Poland also came close to winning in 2021. Polish representative Sara James finished in second place with her song Somebody. The young singer recently gained great popularity thanks to her participation in America’s Got Talent, where she received a Golden Buzzer from Simon Cowell and reached the final of the competition.
