The traditional flag parade of the Junior Eurovision will take place in the heart of Paris!

During the press conference organised by the French broadcaster today, many announcements were made.

One in particular caught our attention. The organisation of the traditional opening ceremony, the parade of flags, will be organised on a delayed basis. It will take place on 13 December at Studio Gabriel in the heart of Paris, on the Champs Elysées. It will be hosted by Charlee Moss, daughter of Marie Myriam who won the adult competition for France in 1977.

The former French representative is not currently involved but could become so, the head of the French delegation assures that last minute surprises could be announced.

With one month to go before the competition, there is still some suspense! At this stage, however, Alexandre Redde has confirmed that last year’s voting system will be reused for this edition. Voting will begin on December 17 at 17.00 CET. She also justified the choice of the Champs Elysées and the date (19 December) to reinforce the theme of the year: Christmas in Paris. The objective is to make children and their parents travel and dream through this edition. A bit like a Christmas programme!

Are you surprised by this flag parade or excited? Will you be in Paris for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest?
