Who is Anna Grebrea?
Anna Gjebrea is 12 years old and was born on 26 January 2009 in Tirana, Albania. Her father Ardit Gjebrea is a well know Albanian singer/songwriter, producer and television presenter. The father/daughter duo released a duet “Per ty” in 2017.
How did she get selected?
After a one year absence, Albanian broadcaster RTSH announced in August 2021 that they would be returning in 2021. On 23 October 2021, Junior Fest 2021 was held, consisting of 19 acts all vying for the title, and the chance to represent Albania in Paris for the 2021 Junior Eurovision Song Contest. Voting was done by a panel of jury members consisting of music industry professionals, and at the end of the show, Anna was announced as the winner.

Stand By You is an upbeat, modern pop song with a very powerful message about standing up to bullying. In the song, Anna talks about being by her friend’s side, no matter what they may be going through.
The song was written and produced by Adam Watts, Gannin Arnold, Sanni M’Mairura and Endi Çuçi.
The music video for Stand By You was filmed in a local school in Tirana, and was shot, edited and published in just two days!

Albania at Junior Eurovision
Albania have participated in Junior Eurovision Song Contest 6 times since their debut in 2012. Their best result came in 2015 with Mishela Rapo and her song Dambaje. 2021 marks their return after a one year absence due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
