The former member of Les Humphries Singers, John Lawton, died at the age of 74. The group from the United Kingdom represented Germany at the 1976 Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) with the theme Sing Sang Song.
The band Uriah Heep, which John Lawton joined, announced the death on social media: “It is with deep regret that we share the devastating and tragic news of the sudden and totally unexpected death of John Lawton, on June 29, 2021”.
