JJ has won the Eurovision Song Contest 2025!

The final of Eurovision 2025 has come to an end, and we have our results! JJ has won this years Eurovision Song Contest for Austria with his song “Wasted Love”. This is the third Eurovision victory for Austria, their first two being in 1966 and 2014.

JJ topped the jury vote whilst Israel was the televote winner. Switzerland, France, Italy and The Netherlands completed the jury top 5, whilst Estonia, Sweden, Austria and Albania completed the televoters top 5.

The semi final hosts Hazel Bruger and Sandra Struder were joined by television presenter Michelle Hunziker, who all hosted Switzerland’s first Eurovision grand final since 1989.

The opening act saw last years winner Nemo come within touching distance of a brand new (unbroken) Eurovision trophy ahead of their performance of “The Code” on the stage in St Jakobshalle.

Much like the opening act of semi final 1, the interval act saw Swiss music and Eurovision music come together. Former Swiss Eurovision acts Paola (1969 and 1980), Peter, Sue & Marc (1971, 1976, 1979 and 1981), Luca Hänni (2019) and Gjon’s Tears (2020 and 2021) took part in a special performance to celebrate Switzerland’s musical heritage.

Following on from this saw Eurovision favourites Käärijä and Baby Lasagna perform a mash-up of their respective Eurovision songs “Cha Cha Cha” and “Rim Tim Tagi Dim”, as well as a surprise collaboration “Eurodab”.
