It’s Fyr og Flamme for Denmark!

Tonight was the night for Denmark as they chose their Eurovision 2021 entry. A total of eight acts took to the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix stage, in which the duo Fyr og Flamme were crowned the winner with their song “Øve os på hinanden”. This is the first time that Denmark have sent a song completley in the Danish language since 1997.

The show, hosted by Tina Müller and Martin Brygmann, was broadcast live from DR Byen’s Studio 5, with a virtual audience. After all eight acts had performed, the top three acts of the televote advanced to the super final, where the winner was decided by 100% televoting. Viewers were able to vote via SMS or through a mobile app specifically designed for the show.

Fyr og Flamme, Chief 1 & Thomas Buttenschøn and Jean Michel all advanced to the super final, where they each performed their songs again. Chief 1 & Thomas Buttenschøn were in third place, followed by Jean Michel in second.
