It’s Fia For Germany At This Year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest

September 18, 2023

Fia will represent Germany at Junior Eurovision 2023 with her song "Ohne Worte"

It’s Junior Eurovision season, and breaking news has been received from the German broadcaster Norddeutscher Rundfunk (NDR). It has now been announced that Fia will perform her song “Ohne Worte” which translates to “Without Words” on the Junior Eurovision 2023 stage in Nice, France on November 26th.

In early September it was revealed that there were five participants in the running to become the German representative for Junior Eurovision 2023. These included;

  • Adriano “Be My Girl”
  • Fia “Ohne Worte”
  • Rahel “Believe”
  • Lenny ” Lieben lernen”
  • Toby “Stand up”

An online voting process (counting towards 50% of the vote) then proceeded with viewers from Germany, Austria and Switzerland having the opportunity to cast their votes up until the deadline which was yesterday (September 17th).  This was collaborated with an international expert jury which counted for the remaining 50% of the vote. Today, it has been discovered that Fia won over the Online and Jury votes, earning her ticket to Nice in November.

Germany was absent at last year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Yerevan, Armenia. It has therefore been highly anticipated who Germany would send for their return to the contest this year. Fia’s talent was first recognised on the larger stage when she participated on “The Voice Kids” in Germany. What made her stand out from the crowd was not only her incredible voice, but her ability to use sign language to match the words she sings when she’s performing.
