Icelandic broadcaster RÚV has released the 10 songs competing in Söngvakeppnin 2023
The 5 acts competing in the first semifinal are:
- Bragi – Stundum snýst heimurinn gegn þér / Sometimes the World´s Against You
- MÓA – Glötuð ást / Loose this dream
- Benedikt – Þora / Brave Face
- Celebs – Dómsdagsdans / Doomsday Dancing
- Diljá – Lifandi inni í mér / Power
The 5 acts competing in the second semifinal are:
- Kristín Sesselja – Óbyggðir / Terrified
- Langi Seli og Skuggarnir – OK
- Silja Rós & Kjalar – Ég styð þína braut / Together we grow
- Úlfar – Betri maður / Impossible
- Sigga Ózk – Gleyma þér og dansa / Dancing Lonely

This year Söngvakeppnin 2023 will consist of two semifinals, the first one taking place on the 18th February, and the second on the 25th.
Two songs for each night, plus one chosen by a jury, will pass to the Final that will take place on the 4th March.
Last year, Systur represented Iceland at Eurovision, with the song “Með hækkandi sól“, placing 23rd at the Grand Final.
