Eurovision 2021 is currently in it’s selection phase. More and more songs are getting selected or revealed. In terms of Serbia, the representative has been announced for quite some time already.

Last year’s representative Hurricane, a girlband formed of Ivana Nikolić, Ksenija Knežević & Sanja Vučić, has been internally selected by Serbian broadcaster RTS. There were supposed to compete in 2020 with the song Hasta La Vista which did not happen because of the Covid-19 pandemic. The official Eurovision channel has just announced the song title for this year’s entry. Loco Loco will be the name of the song Hurricane wants to try and chalk up Serbia’s second victory with.

Besides the song title, neither Hurricane nor the official Eurovision social media channel has announced any further information. Nevertheless, based on Hurricane’s music style and the song title, Loca Loca will most likely be a Balkan bop, as Hasta La Vista was. They will compete with the song in the first half of the second semifinal on May 20th 2021.

Serbia at Eurovision

Serbia as an independent state first participated in 2007. Since then, the Balkan state has participated 12 times so far with a total of 9 final participations, four Top-10 finishes as well as one victory in 2007.
