Fears have been lifted and the singer will attend the next rehearsal!
The tension was rising this week after the singer of the Ukrainian group felt “a bit under the weather“. In consequence, the health protocol was applied and she was put in isolation and took a PCR test. Due to health protocol, the singer had missed the second rehearsal with her band members. She will now be able to participate in the next performance.
This is the first time – and hopefully the last – that a fear of contamination has arisen since the arrival of the delegations in Rotterdam. Fortunately for Ukraine and the fans of the contest, the alert has passed and everything is back to normal.
The EBU published a statement following the test result:
“We are pleased to report that the COVID-19 test has come back negative. Kateryna is feeling better and looking forward to performing on the Eurovision stage next week. We are delighted to welcome her back!”
We are very happy to hear that Kateryna has received a negative test result, and can now join her band mates for all of their performances next week!
