Ukrainian band and Eurovision 2021 act Go-A have announced they will performing at the iconic British music festival Glastonbury.
The band will be performing on June 25th on the John Peel Stage, also referred to as “Stage of New Music”. Go-A confirmed their participation at the festival across their social media platforms.
“We’re unbelievably excited to announce that we will be performing at this year’s Glastonbury Fest!”
“We will sing about everything that hurts and everything that burns inside each of us from one of the biggest stages.”
Glastonbury is one of the biggest music festivals in the world. This year, it’ll headline by Billie Eilish, Paul McCartney, Kendrick Lamar and Diana Ross. As mentioned earlier, Go-A will be performing on the “Stage Of New Music”, where artist like Florence + The Machine, The Killers and London Grammar have previously performed.
Go-A originally were scheduled to represent Ukraine at Eurovision 2020 with their song “Solovey“, but the contest was cancelled due to the COVID 19 pandemic. They were invited by Ukrainian broadcaster UA:PBC to represent Ukraine the following and the band managed to come 5th with “Shum“.
During this year’s contest, lead singer Kateryna Pavlenko was the spokesperson for Ukrainian jury, who awarded their 12 points to United Kingdom. Kateryna thanked everyone watching for their continuing support for Ukraine during the country’s ongoing was with Russia.
