Germany have become the first country to select their singer and song for Junior Eurovision 2021, which saw Pauline emerge victorious with the song “Imagine Us”.

A televised national final, hosted by Jessica Schöne and Ben Blümel, was held in the Central Club in Erfurt. A total of three finalists performed two out of three already produced songs specifically for this national final.

The three finalists were Emelie, Marta and Pauline. The first two participants sang “Imagine Us” and “Gut So” whilst Pauline sang “Imagine Us” and “Hausboot”. After being declared the winner, and Germany’s Junior Eurovision 2021 representative, the jury panel decided that she would sing “Imagine Us” in Paris this December.

Germany are the newest country to join Junior Eurovision, after making their debut at the 2020 contest from Warsaw. Susan was Germany’s first Junior Eurovision representative. Singing “Stronger With You”, she finished in 12th place with 66 points.
