Georgian government allocates over 2.5 million euros towards Junior Eurovision 2025

The Georgian government will allocate over 2.5 million euros to go towards Junior Eurovision 2025.

It has been reported that the Georgian government will allocate 2,586,317 euros (8,164,280 Georgian Lari) towards the hosting of this years Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Tbilisi this December. 

From this 8,164,280 Georgian Lari, 8 million will come from the Ministry of Culture of Georgia, with the remaining 164,280 coming from the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia.

For the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2017, the last time that Georgia hosted the contest, a budget of 2.2 million euros (7 million Georgian Lari) was allocated to the hosting of the contest in Tbilisi.

Junior Eurovision returns to the Olympic Palace in Tbilisi, Georgia’s capital, on Saturday 13th December 2025. Details about the contest, including the hosts, the opening ceremony and the full list of participating countries is expected to be revealed in the coming weeks and months.

At present, 17 countries have confirmed their participation for Junior Eurovision 2025, including Croatia and Montenegro who are both returning to the contest for the first time since 2014 and 2015 respectively. We also see Cyprus and San Marino back for second year running after returning to the contest last year. Estonia and Germany announced their withdrawal from Eurovision 2025 earlier this year.
