France confirm Junior Eurovision 2025 participation

France will be participating in the upcoming Junior Eurovision Song Contest.

France have confirmed they will be participating in the upcoming Junior Eurovision Song Contest this December in Tbilisi, Georgia. The news was confirmed by France’s current Head of Delegation, Alexandra Redde Amiel.

It is expected that France will once again have an internal selection to chose their artist and their song for Junior Eurovision 2025.

France has now become the seventeenth country to confirm their participation for Junior Eurovision 2025. They join the contests 2024 line-up (minus Estonia and Germany) alongside returning countries Croatia and Montenegro. Cyprus, who returned to the contest last year after an absence of eight years, confirmed their participation for this years contest just a few days ago.

Junior Eurovision 2025 will take place in Tbilisi, Georgia, on December 13th. Georgia’s hosting of the contest comes after Andria Putkaradze brought Georgia their fourth Junior Eurovision victory with the song “To My Mom”. Tbilisi previously played host to the contest in 2017.

France are one of the most successful countries in Junior Eurovision, having never finished outside of the top 6 throughout their eight participations. They have won the contest on three occassions – 2020, 2022 and 2023, and have hosted the contest twice, in 2021 and 2023.
